Why did you major in English?

I took Wheatley's freshman seminar and thought, I need at least 6 more classes taught by this man.

Tell us about a skill you learned/developed as an English major that has helped you out in the "real world"

Dr Wright used to tell us when reading The Canterbury Tales aloud in class to speak confidently and without stopping. When you do that people aren't going to notice if you mis-pronounced aventure. I've taken the same mentality into the real world and its the same. Speak confidently at all times.

What was the best English class you took at CUA and why?

Brit Lit - Wheatley. I learned more about how to write in this class then all of the schooling I'd received previously combined.

If you could give one piece of advice to current students, what would it be?

Intern and network as much as possible in school!

Which text was your favorite to read while you were a student at CUA? In which class did you read it?

Leaves of Grass. Senior Seminar on Whitman/Dickinson

What’s next for you?

I just turned 30 the other day so I guess this is the point where I really need to start being an adult but if being an English major has taught me anything it's to live life to the fullest. The experiences and memories you create might one day make a good book.
