Intensive English Program

Admission

Applicants must have completed their high-school education and be at least 17 years of age. They are expected to be genuinely interested in studying English mainly for academic purposes.

All applicants to IEP must provide: (1) a copy of the High School Diploma; (2) a filled-out and signed Application Form; (3) An application fee of $20.00 U.S. (non-refundable).

Applications must be received at least four weeks before the beginning of the semester. The exact dates will be included in the notice of admission.

Applicants requesting an I-20 form for an F-1 visa must fill out the Financial Support Information part of the Application Form and send a letter of financial support accompanied by a bank statement in addition to providing the items listed above.

Applications and additional documents for an I-20 must be received 10 weeks before the beginning of the semester. The exact dates will be included in the I-20 form.

Applicants provisionally admitted to another program or department at CUA, who have an I-20 from that program, must only fill out the Application Form and pay the application fee at least one week before the beginning of the semester.
Applicants already enrolled in another program or department at CUA, who plan to take English classes on a part-time basis, must fill out the Applications Form and hand it in at registration time.
