Education: B.A., Texas Christian University (1972); graduate study at Albert-Ludwigs-Universitat (Freiburg, Germany); B.Phil (Medieval Studies), Unversity of York, 1978; Ph.D. (Comparative Literature), Indiana University, 1984
Research interests: Medieval English and European literature; interdisciplinary approaches to medieval drama, art and music.
Publications include The Vengeance of Our Lord: Medieval Dramatizations of the Destruction of Jerusalem (1989); Medieval German Drama: Four Plays in Translation (2003); articles on Middle English literature; comparative studies of English, German, French, Latin, and Swedish drama; translations of Latin and German drama.
He was the creator of the following online databases:

Dr Wright has held a Rotary Foundation Fellowship in Germany and a Fulbright Reserach Fellowship in the United Kingdom. He was a Fulbright Teaching Fellow in Poland and has taught and lectured extensively in Germany, twice in the Netherlands, and in the People's Republic of China.
